Computer networks are spreading day by day. The security issue of networks is a challenging job. This book describes the concepts of network security and cryptography in a simplified way. I have tried to provide the solution to understand the Complex concepts with the help of flow diagrams and examples. For a large number of students from Rajasthan, Utter Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and other states of our country this book is a mixture of both Hindi and English. Main topics of the book are – security principals, various types of attacks, cryptography, cipher text transformation techniques, symmetric and asymmetric key, Diffie-Hellman key exchange, digital envelop, message digest, digital signature, digital certificates, private key management, Public key Infrastructure X-509 (PKIX) model, Public Key Cryptographic Standards (PKCS), user authentication via password, authentication token etc., Kerberos, security measures in different Operating Systems, cryptographic solutions using JAVA and .NET, cryptographic toolkits, intrusions, honey pots, Indian IT Act for cyber-crime.

Despre autor

Dr. Anupama Chowdhary is Principal of Keen College, Bikaner, having almost 20 years of experience in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology. Teaching both PG and UG students of MSc (Computer Science), MSc (Information Technology), PGDCA, BCA and BBA stream. She completed her BSc (Hons.) (Computer Science and Mathematics) and MSc (Computer Science) from prestigious Banasthali Vidyapith in 1997. She did her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering. Her area of research is data mining, data warehousing and cloud computing. She has published 10 research papers in international/national level conferences/seminar/symposia/workshops etc. She is a member of prestigious professional bodies like Computer Society of India, Board of Studies Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner. She coordinated several training programmes for employees of State bank of India, UCO bank, Bank of India, URMUL Dairy, Central Jail, and various state and private organizations. Under her guidance hundreds of students developed their projects.
