New Media and American Politics is the first book to examine the effect on modern politics of the new media, which include talk radio, tabloid journalism, television talk shows, entertainment media, and computer networks. Davis and Owen discuss the new media's cultural environment, audience, and content, before going on to evaluate its impact on everything from elections to policy making to the old media itself.

O autoru

Richard Davis was born in 1952. He is a composer and producer if techno music from Detroit and a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He formed the group Cybotron in the early 1980's with his friend Juan Atkins. They met while they were both students at Washtenaw Community College. Davis also released music of his own under the alias 3070. As Cybotron and 3070, Davis had a lare input in the foundation of Detroit's techno music scene in the 1980s.
