I'm a flaming queer liberal, but I love history and a good story, and this book has both. If you're interested in the WWII Pacific theater, this novel is for you. Newt and Forstchen are both great writers, especially Forstchen.

If u like the book then u will definitely like the film it is 10 times better and heartbreaking
