I feel that after the 1st book, Nicholas got bored, received very poor advice, or just lost focus. This book and Restoration feel rushed and incomplete. Both leave me disappointed. There are massive gaps in the storyline, holes in the plot, and too much focus on the inconsequential. I loved the story, but the books don't deliver. The war feels wholly less epic than Legon's journey to Seeon. Realistically, this series should have been at least 6 books.

Really well written. Switching to other people never feels anoying like it does in other books. Good twists and overall atm my favourite serie :)

It a really captivating saga that will keep you guessing at the next twist. Love all the different protagonists POV, makes for a well rounded story.
