His reign is underpinned by the strong love between him and his wife Alexandra and overshadowed by the presence of Rasputin. But his unwise decisions lead to chaos, including the Khadynka Tragedy, Bloody Sunday, 1905 revolution and the Czar’s abdication. His family is imprisoned, first in Tobolsk and then in Ekaterinburg, and the story concludes with the communists obtaining power and executing the entire royal family. Elena Sommers is a visually impaired writer. Writing has been her passion since she was a little girl. The legendary writers: Philip Pullman, JK Rowling, Leo Tolstoy and Pushkin inspired her to write. Elena was born in the picturesque city of St Petersburg and grew up among the magnificent, baroque-style castles. Later, she visited gorgeous Windsor Castle, Buckingham palace and Aspen house. The castle inspired her to write about royalty and the marvellous idea came to her mind to write about Russia and its royalty, Nicholas the second, his family, love, life, murder, mystery, sex and political arguments.
