This is a don't miss thriller/mystery that I found difficult to put down. I poured through each section as it is a quick read. I've never read a book told from so many points of view before, but had absolutely zero issues following the twisty plot. In fact, I found the multiple perspectives worked well because it gave an authentic police investigation feel to the story. I enjoyed the various formats too--emails, texts, newspaper articles, police interrogation transcripts, as well as short, fast

This was a fast, unique, and compelling. This was a really creative approach to a murder mystery. In addition to chapters providing the POV of each of the three accused students--Trey, JB, and Ramon--we also get transcripts from their police interrogations, news clips, and testimonials of the people around them, both who knew them and those that didn't. It makes it very clear just how much the color of their skin played a role in the accusations, and the assumptions made by just about everyone.

The storyline was well written and the suspense kept me interested the whole time. It kept me guessing the whole time and the ending was well done. I was worried it was going to be a little too juvenile like some young adult books can be but it wasn't.
