A really great and suspenseful read. Settimo and Alexa are amazing main characters. Paolo and Alexa are set to get married, but Settimo has other plans and that makes for a true roller coaster for all involved. I loved reading this book because it was constantly surprising me and the characters were wonderfully written, so much so that I actually became emotionally invested in their outcomes. I'm enjoying these Gruco Crime Family stories! This one was Settimo's story. He met Alex randomly, at a funeral of all places. The relationship between Settimo and Alex couldn't happen, they both knew it - Settimo was the don of the Familia, and Alex was promised to someone else - a peace offering from the Russians, yet the attraction between the two was undeniable. This story had drama, intrigue, suspense, romance - it was a great read. You could easily read this as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the first two to get the whole picture of the family. And also just because they're also great books! Enjoyed this one!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Wow an amazing book, the story was written well and the characters were sensational. This story was about Alex and Settimo, Alex is engaged to a man that doesn't like her, her father owed a fair bit of money and as they are Russian and they don't like the Italians except their Pakan arranged her marriage. Settimo was devastated when his father the Don died so before the funeral he hides behind the church to drink and get away from people. Settimo was hiding when a gorgeous female stands there holding a joint and a lighter, they started talking, they finished talking and she started to get close to him, he took her from behind when they finished they had blood on their underwear, once they cleaned up they headed into the funeral. In the story there was action, violence, betrayal, enemies, twist and turns, revenge, and lots more. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Nicole Cypher is a hopeless romantic who enjoys reading gruesome thrillers but usually finds herself rooting for the villain. When you combine these traits, you get a dark romance author with a knack for writing plot twists, serial killers, mafia men, troubled heroes, and villains who still manage to win her over in the end.
