About this ebook

A secret camp in the woods. A revolution in the making.

And a fighter that will change what it means to be human.

Maia is hell-bent on revenge, until a tattooed menace literally stands in her way.

Gabe is a legendary fighter with a soft heart that snags on the wounded woman before him.

Together, they discover much more than they bargained for. When the world is ending, someone’s gotta step up and do the saving, and two MMA fighters might just fit the bill.

The Wood Element is being activated, and with it, a war.

This is book three of the science fantasy romance series The Five Elements. It’s written so that the series can be picked up with this book, but there are spoilers for preceding books.

If you're looking for a book that you can't put down, that will draw you in and entertain you from page one, TwinFlames is it. A lyrically written, action-packed book, TwinFlames combines magic with real-life romance and relationships. Maia and Gabe are strong characters who have amazing chemistry as they work together and, sometimes, against each other to save the world. Maia and Gabe are both incredibly gifted fighters who play off each other so well and had me rooting for them from the very beginning. The threat to their world is creative and unique and truly frightening. I highly recommend this book.

Maia is such a strong character and her mission for revenge is written in an intriguing and addictive way. When Maia meets Gabe and discovers that not everything is as it seems, everything starts to change. Their dynamic is great to read. The two have great chemistry, and the writing is top-notch. It’s the perfect combination of an easy read, yet simultaneously jack-packed full of action and suspense. The inclusion from characters in the previous books makes the depth of the story and the way that they intertwine pretty magical. The third in the series, it definitely has a reputation to uphold. And it’s safe to say it didn’t disappoint.

It is said that the third time's a charm. That cannot be more true than it is with TwinFlames by Nicole Wells. UpSpark (volume 1 of the Five Elements series) was sweet, deep, and intriguing. StarDust (volume 2 of the series) introduced us to the conflict to come, with intriguing travels around the world and lore for the series. TwinFlames (volume 3 of the series) marries the best of both worlds, while preparing us for what is bound to be one of the most epic battles in the Science Fantasy scene. Maia is a fighting prodigy but is not in the ring for fame or money. One thing is on her mind: revenge. When the mysterious, tall, dark, and handsome Gabe--the notoriously famous "Angel" in the fighting world--swoops into Maia's life, his passion and drive to save her from being another youth snuffed out in reckless fighting turns Maia's search on its head. It's only when Maia teleports herself stark-nude to a park in France with a power unknown to her that she learns of a power far more deadly than the rapist she's spent her days tracking down--a power that can end the entire world. Swept into a passionate love with Gabe and helped by mysterious friends, Maia must hone her newfound powers and lead the rising "Elements" to protect humanity and the Earth from enemies far beyond their natural ability. TwinFlames was a page-turning read chalk full of emotions often left off the table. Pride, pain, self-righteousness, social responsibility, self-identity, vengeance, and failure abound but are balanced by love in all its forms. TwinFlames is far more than just an action-packed book or fiery romance; it is a book that made me take a look at myself and see parts of myself I usually try to ignore, and bring hope to aspects of my life I once thought long-forgotten. A perfect 5/5 on this one - I cannot recommend it highly enough. Wells is definitely a master storyteller, and I can't wait to read volume 4! --Trigger warnings: Mental & physical abuse mentioned/detailed, contemplations of murder, mentions of police brutality (aimed specifically at race), mention of rape, war and execution, institutionalized mental breakdown/illness discussed, mention of infant loss.--

About the author

In the ethos where herds of story ideas run wild and free, I am known as the Devourer of Books. A voracious predator, I —

Okay. I’m a mom of three young children. And I spend way too much time in the fantasy world in my head. But, hey, in this world I’m still supernatural. I channel the powers of my insomnia for good. I’m impervious to kid whining and insults (well, mostly). I have a second sense for cereal disasters and broken toy catastrophes. They call me Mom, which is code for You’re-Awesome-We-Love-You or Stop-Writing-On-Your-Computer-and-Play-With-Me. I’m not sure which. My kryptonite is my pet peeves: water running down my elbows, food stains on papers, and losing the little plastic tethers when you remove the tags off new clothes.

So, yeah, that's me. Your average superhero mom. Oh, and I’ve got three eyes (one in the back of my head).

UpSpark, my debut novel and Book One of the Five Elements Series, a science fantasy romance, has been well received. The Worst Story Ever Written, is the start to a new humorous paranormal romance series.
