Adams never shies away from the emotional. Her characters are human. Flawed
learning to be fearless. Living with Her One - Night Stand is about need.
What started as a chance encounter, becomes a life changing moment for two
souls searching. Lucas is learning to live again after an upset in his
life. Jill needs her fantasies to help her deal with a sometimes unkind
reality. Each is looking for solace and end up finding salvation. Hope is
what gives the capacity for love and that's what makes us human. Jill and
Lucas will have readers swimming in emotions and loving every lap.

Jill wants a forever man. When her online date doesn’t show up she decides to try a fun filled night with the handsome stranger she met instead. Now she’s face to face with Lucas the man she thought she’d never see again. Lucas had a “bam” two years ago and walked away from his life. He now lives day to day, riding the tide, and only stopping for brief times in temporary places. His life goals do not mesh with Jill’s. He does not want a forever but he does want a now. This couple! OMG! I loved and despaired over them. They were so perfect together and yet they both knew they couldn’t be more. Their chemistry may have sparked their beginning but getting to know each other set fire to their soul deep need. Lucas was caught in the past, unable to let go and move forward, unable to even share a bit of himself with Jill and that absolutely broke my heart. He was a good guy but he no longer saw himself in that light. Even while Jill struggled between yielding to Lucas and keeping her distance, I saw her as a strong heroine. She wanted the happy ever after and despite knowing that Lucas couldn’t give that to her, she was unable to let him into her heart. This book had me laughing and crying and my heart being pulled in so many directions. I love when a story pulls me in so much that I ignore everything around me and just fall into it without a second thought. Living With My One Night Stand definitely did that. It was fast paced, well written, pretty steamy and had about a mid level of angst. I loved every moment, every word, every step these characters took no matter how painful or sweet. Bring on the next, please!
