Runaway

This was such a unique story. It pulled me in and kept me there. The runaway bride issue always seems to be laced with a contrived situation that causes the bride to run. Not so in this case. Jenna had a believable reason to second guess her decision. However, instead of the heroine running and the hero chasing, this couple actually make adult decisions. I loved the mature manner that they spoke to one another after Jenna ran. It was still an emotional conversation, but the author did not use it to create wild drama. My heart hurt for both Elias and Jenna. While Jenna’s background was heartbreaking, it was Elias’ reactions and considering responses that really broke my heart. It was obvious he was deeply in love with Jenna and I adored the way this author shows glimpses of that. This was a fast, short read but it held so much intensity and emotion as well as some extreme steam so have a tissue, a fan and a cool drink at hand. Definitely recommending this one!

This is book two in The Tattered and Torn Series and it is Calder and Hadley's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Hadley was being suffocated by her mother who wouldn't let her do anything or go anywhere due to the fact that her sister had been kidnapped and held hostage eight year's ago and Hadley felt like she was paying the price and even arguing with her mother made no difference and she didn't know what to do next so that she could live her life and then Calder showed her how to fly and Hadley has never looked back even though she is at constant odds with her mother. Present day and Hadley is a ETM and absolutely loved her job helping people and she was also an adrenaline junkie that very few people know about and even though her mother still tries to control her Hadley will never let it happen again. Calder is a single father to his twin girl's after there mother nearly killed them in a car accident and he was also a firefighter and even though he used to be a bit of a dare devil he had to stop that as he couldn't afford for anything to happen to him as his girl's needed him to be there for them. Hadley and Calder have been in love with each other for year's but things didn't go as planned and now she keeps her wall's so high so that she doesn't get hurt again and just when you think thing's are starting to get better someone is watching and danger is just around the corner waiting to strike but where will it all end and who is doing this and why. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I cried so many times while reading it but still I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and it was so addictive and kept you on the edge of your seat wondering where it would all end and the depth of this story was so strong that you felt everything as if you were there going through it with them and the love and connection that Hadley had for Calder's girl's was a beautiful thing to see and I absolutely loved the outcome of This story me I can't wait to read the next one. Catherine Cowles is an amazing author and writer and her book's are definitely worth reading and you will not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed a Copy of This Book.
