It follows Vederius’s journey as he is sent to Northern Britannia to train for the final push into ancient Scotland. He is looking for adventure in the Roman army but, without realising, becomes an innocent pawn in other people’s games. He finds himself making some tough moral choices that teach harsh lessons about loyalty.
