Not Without Your Love

I loved going back to Jackson Harbor and finding out more about Veronica and Colton. Veronica was not a very likeable character at the start of this series, as well as Colton who made his own bad choices in Levi and Ellie's story. I love a great redemption story and Veronica and Colton's story is everything and more! Veronica is a single mom, who works hard to make a better life for her son, and to make amends for the past. She is snarky, to protect her soft, heart of gold. She doesn't like to depend on others and that frustrates those who really want to help. She works for Colton and they have a push/pull relationship as they fight their fiery attraction for each other. Colton is an addict who has worked hard to be clean and make a better life for himself. Both he and Veronica have a hard time believing they are worthy to be loved, but he is determined to try and make a family with Veronica and her son. But Veronica has secrets and when her past comes to town, it could threaten everything they have worked so hard to build. Veronica's story was heartbreaking, but I loved how strong she was, working hard to protect those she loved. Colton was her perfect match, wanting to support Veronica and her son and giving her the space she needed to feel independent but also not letting her feel alone. He was so deliciously dirty with Veronica and so swoony in the scenes with her son. This is such a beautiful story about redemption, forgiveness, hope and love. It is the perfect second chance at life and love that will capture your heart and take your breathe away.

I love my visits to Jackson Harbor and I was excited for Colton McKinley’s story, this book was everything I expected and so much more. If you love small town romances and single parents stories you should definitely have Not Without Your Love on your TBR list. Single mum Veronica Maddox is offered a job by Colton, he is determined to have her working for him but neither of them realised how this job offer would turn their lives upside down….. Veronica has not had an easy life but determined to make the best of her life she becomes strong, sassy and feisty, she takes no nonsense but what will happen when the past comes back to haunt her. Will the past tear this couple apart or will it make them stronger. I adored this couple, I found them easy to relate to and I found their journey believable, I was cal from the first few pages and there was no putting down until I had read the final line. A beautifully written love story that’s all about learning to trust again, learning to accept friendship but more importantly learning to take a leap of faith knowing there is someone to catch you. A great addition to this wonderful series.

5 Star Review Not Without Your Love (The Boys of Jackson Harbour #7) by Lexi Ryan I know this is hard to believe, but Lexi Ryan is a relatively new author to me. From start to finish, I was captivated by the story that she wove, drawn in and I had a hard time putting this one down. I loved the dynamics of the Jackson family and when I learned that Colton McKinley was getting his own story I knew I had to read it. Convinced to give Veronica Maddox a job, he has no idea how his life is about to change. The chemistry between them is off the charts, even though she pushes his buttons he cannot ignore the attraction. I found both Colton and Veronica easy to relate to and and I had many swoon worthy moments with Colton. He has turned his life around and made a success of it and he deserved to find happiness. Whilst Veronica is a single mum who has not had it easy. I loved how sassy and feisty she was and enjoyed her ability to stand up for what she believes in. However, what will happen when the past comes back to haunt them? Will it tear them apart or make them stronger? This was a well written story of love, friendship and second chances, of taking a leap of faith and of believing in yourself.
