About this ebook

The news of Sruthi, belonging to a Havyaka Brahmin family in Kasaragod, converting into Islam as Rahmat had become highly controversial. This school teacher was amongst those thousands who had converted due to deception. By the grace of god, this young lady had the good fortune of coming to Aarsha Vidya Samajam and learning Sanatana Dharma. Having realized the folly of converting, she returned to Sanatana Dharma and resolved to be a full-time volunteer with Aarsha Vidya Samajam. She has played a pivotal role in bringing back a thousand others like her. Her video on YouTube has garnered more than 4M views. Through this book, she discusses the real causes behind religious conversions and their solutions. Sruthi hopes that no one else must face the agony and humiliation that her parents had to go through and that no one else must convert falling prey to misconceptions.

Bharat is a Great Continent and who ever goes away from it without knowing about its greatness is very sad thing. Here we see the efforts made by ShrutiJi to reconnect with Bharat and its wonderful culture. The only thing is it is not so easy to understand Bharat, but once understood it is beyond comparison

To me, the story of a woman reverting to Islam is of particular interest because what the Koran and the Hadith says about women is pretty easy to find out. The counter argument has been that there are anti-women verses in the texts of all major religions. That is hardly a justification. More important than that, the suffering of women in Islamic countries is well know. Even Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) favorite wife Aisha said, "I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women.' Here is where the psychology of Sruthi helps explain what is going on. We only know for sure what we are going through, not anyone else. Sruthi's parents did not know what she was going through, she did not know what they were going through. They seemed to be opaque to each other's inner experiences. The people targeting them on the other hand had good knowledge of their thought process and can take full advantage of it. This is a feature of the modern world. People are self-indulgent consumerists who don't think much of the society at large. It is easy for well-funded influencers to target them. In a world where people care for one another, we take real efforts to understand the thought process of those we care for, so that we can help them. The present direction of Sruthi's life indicates that she has learned this lesson.

Hinduism or Sanatan Dharma is undoubtedly the oldest. But we have not been taught to convey and whereas other religions have an agenda as regards expansion is concerned. And Islam used brute force for converting people. And the tragedy is that fear for one s life is a factor one cannot ignore. Sarv Dharm Sambhav has brought us down inspite of it being virtuous. India s history of facing Islamic invaders is an eye opener for us. So Shruti s book is going to be a good read.

About the author

Belonging to Perla in Kasaragod district of Kerala, India, Sruthi is the first woman activist at Aarsha Vidya Samajam. She was born to Sri Sankara Narayan Bhat and Smt. Saradamma. Having earned an MA in English Literature, Sruthi started working as a school teacher. Sruthi was drawn to Islam right from the initial days of her career. She went on to complete a course on Islam from Maunathul Islam Sabha in Ponnani and converted to Islam, and changed her name to Rahmat. At this stage, Hindu group activists brought Sruthi to Aarsha Vidya Samajam. The Adhyatmika Shastram or Spiritual Science course at AVS helped in bringing back Sruthi to her Swadharma. She realized the shallowness of Islam and the magnificence of Sanatana Dharma through AVS. Sruthi has vowed to work with AVS to help counter unchecked conversions and has been instrumental in bringing a number of people back to Sanatana Dharma. Besides Malayalam, she is proficient in English, Hindi, Kannada, and Tulu. This has enabled her and AVS to reverse plenty of conversions in Karnataka. As atonement for her mistake of converting to Islam, Sruthi has dedicated her life to Sanatana Dharma.
