This could have been a great book that had potential to hook me in to buy the series. The use of descriptive terms was sometimes distracting, but the overuse of the terms "appreciated " and "shifted" became irritating. It was also frustrating when Winston's name changed to Wilson several times.

Everything seems to go quite fast, instead of the usual slow pace you want to have when writing anything long, like a novel. Overall a decent short novel, also please fix up the frequent use of "appreciated", it feels like there wasn't a publisher or anyone to check over the book before release.

This! This is awesome! I love the magic system and the types of witches in this novel. It’s pretty unique, and I love that there are real consequences for using magic. I want to say more, but all my thoughts can only come out as: this book is really, really good. It’s a quick-paced story that I was really saddened to find out wasn’t much longer. I need more! This is definitely worthy of four stars.
