About this eBook

Drifters in search of work, George and his childlike friend Lennie, have nothing in the world except the clothes on their back - and a dream that one day they will have some land of their own. Eventually they find work on a ranch in California's Salinas Valley, but their hopes are dashed as Lennie - struggling against extreme cruelty, misunderstanding and feelings of jealousy - becomes a victim of his own strength. Tackling universal themes of friendship and shared vision, and giving a voice to America's lonely and dispossessed, Of Mice and Men remains Steinbeck's most popular work, achieving success as a novel, Broadway play and three acclaimed films.

Doing this book at school and need my own copy at home. The free sample is porky about steinbeck himself and doesn't have any part of the book in it at Al and I am not willing to pay the price for the book. Please make the free sample at least the first chapter of the book please then I might consider giving more stars.

Tried out the free sample to find that it only covers the introduction, not even the first page of the first chapter! Not much of a taster to get you interested! Not a criticism of the actual book.

As other reciews have said the sample does not have any of the story in it literally. It only has the introduction to the author. I love the book, very intriging story but theres no point trying the sample sadly.
