The vast Okefenokee Swamp, spanning 600 square miles across the Georgia-Florida border. It was about to become the temporary home for Julie Kostas, Luke Mills, and Jason Betelliâbetter known as the Kid Detectives. For the next seven days, they will explore its wild, untamed depths as part of their school's Ecology Week. Julie would be taking notes for articles in the school paper, Jason and Luke for projects that would count for their end of year results. It had turned into an unexpected adventure. At the outset, the kids had no idea that one of the greatest threats to nature's ecosystems was humanity itselfâthose who prioritised greed over the preservation of wildlife and its habitats - wildlife smugglers. Julie, Jason, and Luke get the opportunity to throw a spanner into the smugglers activity in pertnership with the Seminole indians who are attempting to expose the smugglers. These crooks must be stopped before the swamp becomes an uninhabited wasteland.
