Had been looking forward to the next installment in the seiries for a long time. Previous foemic war stories set too high a bar for this middling tale that brings too little to the overall story. This could have been a couple of chapters in a book, not a standalone story.

If you expect any development of the second formic war, hold your horses. There is about 50 pages of it. The remaining 400 is ballast not worth reading. Just avoid this book, anythibg relevant for the final book can be summarized in 2 paragraphs.

Great read and good plot. Lots of syntax and grammar errors though. Seems like it was too hasty to get to the publisher or the editor didn't try hard enough.
