About this eBook

The sequel - and conclusion - to Victoria Schwab's instant #1 New York Times bestseller, This Savage Song. Kate Harker is a girl who isn't afraid of the dark. She's a girl who hunts monsters. And she's good at it. August Flynn is a monster who can never be human. No matter how much he once yearned for it. He has a part to play. And he will play it, no matter the cost. Nearly six months after Kate and August were first thrown together, the war between the monsters and the humans is a terrifying reality. In Verity, August has become the leader he never wished to be, and in Prosperity, Kate has become the ruthless hunter she knew she could be. When a new monster emerges from the shadows - one who feeds on chaos and brings out its victim's inner demons - it lures Kate home, where she finds more than she bargained for. She'll face a monster she thought she killed, a boy she thought she knew, and a demon all her own.

A lot was expected after This Savage Song, and this book met that expectation, then exceeded it, and then broke my heart in the best way possible. It's a fitting ending, but it hurts. Sincerely hope there is more to come in this series. A must read.

Wow. Every bit as exciting and tense a tale as the first in the series, "Our Dark Duet' does not waste a second in this amazingly fast-paced and extremely emotional roller coaster of a story! I kid you not: I sat down this morning (I'm on vacation and the weather is terrible today) and read through this book, well, like a Malchai that smells blood in the air! And if you don't understand that, good golly, read these books! V.E.Schwab has concluded this two-book series (sadly only 2!!) with a powerful plot that reminds me of some of the feelings I had when I finished the Divergent books some years back (no, do not refer to the movies, please!). With only the slightest of concerns about minor open points (why is the new 'brother' always referred to in plural form?), I can only confirm that I will be hungrily (ok, I've got vampires on my mind now) devouring (oh, maybe I'm just a wraith waiting in the shadows to feed on its next victim?) as many of this authors books as I can get my greedy hands on! Seriously, read this. Booyah.

I'm sitting here having just finished reading and I'm not sure I'll be able to find the words to do it justice in a review
