Star Crossed Lovers indeed!!! I’ve been intrigued by Seth Andrews since he appeared in My Beastie’s Ex, the first book in ‘The rooftop Crew’ series. He originally wasn’t even gonna get a story, as this was meant to be a three-part book deal. But, these characters demanded their own stage and Piper Rayne obliged. Now we have the story behind the break up of two best-of-friends families. Evan and Seth are stuck in the middle of the parents’ dispute and are drawn into the everyday running of their bagel shops. Neither of them wants this. When an opportunity arises to get out of the hole they find themselves in, they jump at it. Seth pretends he’s not crushing on Evan, but he’s fooling no one, least of all his friends. Evan is in the same boat. The friendship she shared with Seth when they were kids soon blossoms into a full-fledged attraction. It was a fun, light-hearted story most of the time. Seth is an all-round good guy. He’s fiercely protective too and loves with all his heart. Evan, although a more serious character, still had the ability to make me smile and I was rooting for her from the start. Watching these two characters win the day, was fun and made for an easy read. One you’re sure to enjoy when you One-Click your own copy.

4.5 stars! Our Star-Crossed Kiss is book #4 is The Rooftop Crew Series by Piper Rayne and it is my favourite in the series thus far. Piper Rayne made me fall HARD for Seth and Evan! Of course as always the book is full of their signature humour but there was also a very sweet emotional side to this book that I was not expecting. The story line was creative and gave me modern day Romeo and Juliet vibes. The Ericksons and Andrews are rival families. Each own a bagel shop in town and their businesses are highly competitive. Seth is the absolute star of this book. #sethismyfav I could not get enough of his witty banter and jokes. He is the friend in the group that is always the life of the party and puts everyone in good mood the moment he enters a room. His charm is intoxicating and addicting. He is also sweet and hardworking and a talented photographer. I loved Evan just as much as Seth. Thinking back to when I was reading Rival Roomies and how any mention of Evan Seth would react and I was eager to get to know them more. What made this such a fun read was the moment that Seth and Evan decide to disguise themselves in a fake relationship in order to win their families a spot on a popular cooking show on the Food Channel. The chemistry between Seth and Evan is undeniable. The two have had a thing for one another much longer than either are willing to admit and I loved the development of their relationship. One thing that I love about this series is the comrade between all the friends. The Rooftop Crew are a family themselves and accept newcomers as their own. There is never a dull moment and they live to give each other a hard time but deep down it’s in a loving way as family does. This book has it all and was everything I needed. It is filled with crazy family drama and hilarious banter. The story is a sweet and steamy rom-com with a ton feels and is a must read in the series. I cannot wait for more. Knox’s book is next in the The Do-Over. Advanced reader copy received in exchange of an honest review.

Ooh, how I've been waiting for Seth and Evan's story! If you've read other books in The Rooftop Crew series, you have an idea about the history between these two's families and it's been so intriguing. If you haven't read the other books, no problem! Just dive right into this one and you won't be behind at all. And, let's not forget #Sethisthebest! Evan Erickson and Seth Andrews grew up close friends until they time they were around nine years old. At that point, their father's, who were in the bagel business together had a falling out and they ended up opening competing bagel shops and severing ties between the families. Now 20 years later, Seth is boudoir photographer and while he is fun and flirty on the outside, he carries a whole lot of guilt stemming from his family due to the fact he chose to go to college over going into the family bagel business. As for Evan, she's taken over running her family's bagel shop since her Dad had a health scare. She's hard working and full of determination, but a little lost since she'd much rather have chosen the path her work life took. A food challenge competition show has come to town and both families are submitting their bagels and cream cheese for judging. Will this end up brining Evan and Seth together, which will in turn reunite the two families? Or will things go disastrously wrong and drive an even bigger wedge between the battling bagel joints? This story was wonderful and you can't help but root for Seth and Evan. Seth is sweet, charming and hot and Evan is beautiful, caring and independent and their chemistry is noticeable immediately. I enjoyed how all of this played out, the role that their friends played and I also enjoyed the ups and downs they had to endure. I highly recommend this entertaining tale!
