Irfan Master's first novel, A Beautiful Lie, was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2011 and nominated for the Branford Boase Award 2012, as well as a slew of regional awards including the North East Book Award, the We Read Award, the Essex Book Award, the Redbridge Book Award and the Amazing Book Award, all in 2012.
