She was the recipient of SERB Young Scientist Grant in 2012. She had been elected as Associate fellow of AP Academy of Sciences in 2016 for her research contributions. She also won Best Paper Presentation award by Madras Diabetes Research Centre, in Indoswedish symposium in 2006.
