Till date, there have been many novels published on the serene and beautiful background of Goa. Yet, this is the first of its type describing the contemporary life in Goa. We come across people from various religion, creed and race speaking various languages and following vivid cultures. Their struggles, conflicts, emotions, feelings, lawful and unlawful relations, legitimate and illegitimate children, all have been well portrayed. The style embraced by the author itself is proof enough of her literary skills. It also sheds light on the depth of her knowledge, understanding capabilities and innovativeness. Her multi-faceted nature has given a tender touch to it as well.
