About this ebook

Enjoy this charming Pride and Prejudice variation by bestselling historical romance author P. O. Dixon… ❤️

Kidnapping. Deception. Arranged Marriage. An intriguing twist on Jane Austen's timeless classic, Pride and Prejudice!

Elizabeth lives a charmed life or so it seems. Despite her noble relations and all the wealth and privileges entailed, there's something missing.

During his stay at Netherfield Park in Hertfordshire, Darcy learns of a tragedy that befell the Bennets, a family from a neighboring estate, over a decade prior. One of the Bennet daughters vanished in broad daylight from the streets of Lambton.

Will Darcy unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the second-born Bennet daughter? What if it means losing the one woman who has captured his heart?

Lady Elizabeth: Everything Will Change Book One ● A Regency historical fiction adaptation of Jane Austen's timeless classic Pride and Prejudice.

What a complete waste of my reading time. It could have been a good book in it's own right if the idea hadn't been 'taken' from someone else. What was the point. To take the names and general characteristics of the characters then change the story!!! It was without the finesse of the original version and other than a few mentions of the era it could have been set any where. The original had a wealth of description to get you to lose yourself in the era. I find this version really objectionable.. Did the write not have enough material to write her own book. The way it was written, if I didn't know any better, I would think it written by a man. Certainly if comparing it to the original. If the author didn't want it compared to the original then it should have been written differently. I certainly don't see it as a compliment to the original author but more of an insult. It gets one star, only because it could have been a good story if it wasn't as I describe it, plagiarism at it's worst.

this book starts out with a great deal of potential in that Elizabeth is removed from her annoying relations. in some P&P variations the reader finds a lot of characters that so much annoyed you and never were put in their place in the original, finally get what is due to them, or the character simply aren't as Extreme as they were in the original. This book initially does away with even the question of whether the characters are altered by removing Elizabeth from even being in their lives. Unfortunately, at the end of the book when she finally does reunite with her family, they are not only as bad as in the original but far worse. If you were unaware, the story continues in a second book. I read the free sample of the second book and I have no desire to continue since the author has chosen to make Elizabeth's family even more annoying and ridiculous than the original. in addition, it's so sad to see her go from Lady Elizabeth down to mearly a Bennett. It's like Cinderella in reverse!
