About this ebook

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Paige Tyler delivers intense action and sizzling romance in a brand-new paranormal romantic suspense series, perfect for anyone looking for:
  • an alpha wolf hero hungry for a challenge
  • an agent under fire with something to prove
  • a team of shifters who will stop at nothing to protect each other
  • and a race across the globe that'll leave you breathless

Supernatural creatures are no longer keeping their existence secret from humans, causing panic around the globe. To investigate, monitor, and—when necessary—take down dangerous supernatural offenders, an international task force was established: The Special Threat Assessment Team.

For the cases no one else can solve, they send in the Special Threat Assessment Team.

STAT agent Jestina Ridley is in London with her team investigating a suspicious kidnapping. Over her radio, Jes hears her teammates being savagely attacked. She runs to help, but she's too late. The only survivor, Jes calls for backup and gets former Navy SEAL and alpha werewolf Jake Huang and his new pack. Convinced that the creature who butchered her teammates was a werewolf, Jes doesn't trust them. But if they're going to uncover the facts and make it back home alive, she'll need Jake's help. And with everything on the line, Jes will have to accept the way of the wolf, or lose the partner she never expected to find...

Just like the SWAT series I think I am really going to love this new STAT series. I love me some werewolves! Ms. Tyler knows how to do paranormal romance right. And this new series spin-off starts off with a bang for sure! And I love that it seems like it is going to be an international thing, which is cool and intriguing. This story mainly takes place in England and is full of action but still has plenty of character development, relationship building and intimacy. Jake Huang who we have met before is a former Navy SEAL and is the alpha of his new pack. He travels with his new team to join forces with Jestina Ridley who is human and recently lost her team members to what she thinks is a werewolf. So as you can imagine she starts off with some serious trust issues and hesitancy. Jake is strong, sexy and hard to resist and a force to be reckoned with; the rest of his team are equally fascinating-Caleb, Harley, Misty and Forrest all with their own interesting skill-sets/abilities. I really liked the relationship between Jake and Jes, but I also really enjoyed the story as a whole because it has just the right amount of all the ingredients that make up a great paranormal romance! Look forward to more!

Non stop action, some mystery and our awesome werewolves :) This one seems pretty hard hitting with explosive (no pun intended) action, graphic at times, but as they (well most) are werewolves it seemed a necessity to help explain all they can keep on taking, and keep on ticking. Jake is chosen as the leader of this STAT team and works with a human Jes who is aware of supernaturals and distrusts them. Understandable. The new team has Caleb, an Omega, Harley also an Alpha female werewolf, Forest a Human and Misty who is human and a technopath! (Read the book) They are overseas searching for what they thought was one child, and prince how was an asset that has turned rouge. We meet a new supernatural, but no one is sure what kind. This was a pretty rough and ready on the go action. Softened with some humor and "THE ONE" relationship with Jess and Jake. I enjoyed this book, but I have to admit I had to take a few breaths a long the way. Thank you #Netgalley #Paige tyler # SourcebooksCasablanca for the arc! I freely volunteer my unsolicited opinions. I recommend this to all who love paranormal, suspense, urban fantasy, military.

It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat with pulse pounding suspense and intrigue . The characters are a fabulous collection of individuals each team member has their own unique skills and abilities . This is such a well written story . It kept me captivated from start to finish . Special Agent Jake Huang is lead agent for his FBI/CIA Special Threat Assessment team (STAT ) . Jake is also a werewolf he and his team are sent to London when two Agents had their throats ripped out by an unknown creature . They must help the lone team mate Jestina Ridley on a case of a kidnapping where the security guards also had their throats ripped out .
