Die zweite Auflage bietet unverändert den maßgeblichen Text nach Karl Lachmann und die hoch gelobte Übersetzung von Peter Knecht. Als Neuerung enthält sie eine konzise Einführung in grundlegende Editions- und Interpretationsprobleme von Bernd Schirok.
