Challenging the Doctor

I really enjoyed this one! Jade and Edmund are both strong, intriguing characters and I wanted to see them succeed both professionally and personally. They are two lost souls who seem to be exactly what the other needs to heal and move forward. This book is very well written with a nice easy pace to the story making it an enjoyable relaxing read. I definitely recommend this one.

I kept waiting for Aslan, Mr. Tumnus or the White Queen to show up. At least the author didn't give Edmund and his siblings the last name of 'Penvensie.' Not sure why all the siblings (Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy) have the same names as the characters in Narnia. Coincidence? I think not. It kind of soured me on the story, if I'm honest. I gave up, and I didn't finish it. My 3-star rating is contrived, because -as I stated- I didn't finish the story.

Loved this book!! Dr Edmund Davidson needs to start over after a scandal, so what's better than to work in Marietta. He works along side Jade, a nurse practitioner. Jade is a very strong person but has her own demons in her closet. Jade has also recently returned to Marietta after the death of her father. There is an instant chemistry between the two, can I say hot!! Will these two kindred souls finally find their happily ever after? Loved these two broken souls, both needing to leave their pasts behind them and move forward. Jade is such a strong woman, with her past and present situations. Edmund is a prince, will not let anyone/anything stand in his way of having his HEA with Jade. I must say I loved Fred too. Author Fischer has done an excellent job on her medical information. An element of suspense added into the story makes for the perfect read.
