Decent read. Interesting setup. Enjoyable art. This series opener is, as you might expect, all exposition, conflict setup, and question/uncertainty creation (stuff for the series to chase over its arc) but I really wanted some (any) indication/taste of the what the character is really getting in to... feels like knowing nothing of the mythos of superman then reading a comic about a baby whose planet explodes, and then the comic is over. Hard to get invested. Sigh...

Is really disappointing to see how much this series art is banking on sex sells. Now, a lot of comics do, not just this one, but this seems to be banking on the sexy images on the cover getting you hooked, because the image on the front (and the variants) have very little to do with the issue. To be honest the story actually looks very interesting, I just wish that the fairy-tale-reinvented genre wasn't entirely obsessed with placing huge-breasted, tiny-waistband women in skimpy clothing. It can be done.

I clicked on a free issue years ago along with some other titles and a manga as part of what I think was a free comic day promotion. I found I don't enjoy reading comics on a display. I haven't been able to get Google to stop suggesting this stuff ever since.
