About this ebook

At a Big Band dance in 1945, Emma made a pivotal choice, defining the course of her life forever. Now tonight, destiny draws her back to the old Starlite Ballroom, as worn and aged as she is. Emma's given a chance to relive that fateful night and choose between two men once again. Can she make a different choice this time? Will she even dare?

Many a couple met and fell in love in a Big Band ballroom. World War II was over, the GIs back home, and only their futures lay before them. If only you could return to that magical time. This short story is about the age old wish of 'what if.' What if we were given a chance to go back and do things differently?

About the author

Paul Andrews is an American author of historical mysteries and thrillers, though he dabbles in a little of everything, including sci fi, love stories and contemporary fantasy. He's thrilled to now be published on Google Play with five stories to date. A little bit of everything - novels, novellas and short stories - with something for everyone. 'The Man Who Would Not Die' is his feature novel about the ageless Count Saint-Germain.

Paul grew up in rural Pennsylvania, the grandson of Polish coal miners. If someone would have told him back in high school that he'd one day end up a writer, he'd have told them they were drinking too much Yuengling. Though he's lived in Manhattan and Washington DC, he currently resides in beautiful North Carolina with his wife, two kids and two cats.
