I finally got work to update to SolidWorks Premium so I can test assemblies. The assembly I am trying to test continues to go only so far and then stay there for hours. I looked through the sample pages and the detail that is shown is well done. So I bought the book and though I still like the way each subject is approached and how much detail is given. I am a bit disappointed with the coverage of assemblies. Other than very basic assemblies to show the use of a couple basic contact sets no assemblies are shown using glue bonding and contact surfaces. I was hoping for more information about working with a larger scale assembly. Overall I do recommend this book for the beginner. Maybe if I read the book again I will see some things I missed the first time.
