About this ebook

In this unputdownable, spine-tingling adventure of a lifetime called “a winner at every level,”* fourteen-year-old Peak Marcello attempts to be the youngest climber to summit Mount Everest.

After Peak Marcello is arrested for scaling a New York City skyscraper, he's left with two choices: wither away in juvenile detention or go live with his long-lost father, who runs an overseas climbing company.

But Peak quickly learns that his father's renewed interest in him has strings attached. Big strings. As owner of Peak Expeditions, he wants his son to be the youngest person to reach the Everest summit—and his motives are selfish at best. Even so, for a climbing addict like Peak, tackling Everest is the challenge of a lifetime. It's also one that could cost him his life.

This thrilling teen climbing adventure is "the perfect antidote for kids who think books are boring" (Publishers Weekly starred review).

Roland Smith's Peak Marcello's Adventures are:

  • Peak
  • The Edge
  • Ascent
  • Descent

The whole thing was boring and was terrible. No part of the book had me on the edge of my seat and now has me deppresed that I wasted time on this book. The worst part is after all this terrible climbing that's all predictable he decides ten feet from the top not to do it and turns around. I reccomend harry potter.

Really intriguing book, where the main character is intelligent and caring rowards other characters. This book really shows the struggles of climbing Mount Everest. As he almost reaches the summit, he realizes that Mount Everest does have a divine view, but what really matters is below.

Peak was very enjoyable to read. It didn't have action in every part of the book but it didn't need it. Parts of it was boring but it lead up to a very good part of the book. I'll just sum that up for you. You should read Peak. You might not like it as much as I did but I am a very picky reader and Peak was actually good.
