About this ebook

The conclusion to the Master of Trickery Duet by New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters.

“Must be brave, stubborn, and impervious to the tempers of loved ones.”

The first line hissed with history.

“Hours are endless, pay is non-existence, quitting absolutely forbidden.”

The second line ached with truth.

“Able to function on no sleep, refrain from running when times get hard, and be more than just a living canvas but a lover.”

The third thrummed with honesty.

“Other attributes required: forgiving, opinionated, and not afraid to tell me when I’m wrong. Must also enjoy being touched and kissed at any time of my choosing.”

The fourth glowed with promise.

“Call or email ‘YOUR HEART, HIS SOUL’ if interested in applying.”

The final made my future unfold.

The advert was so similar to one I should never have applied for.

A twist of fate that brought two destined people back together.

A job I would take in a heartbeat if the employer could offer such terms.

But I wasn’t free.

Neither was Gil.

Therefore, my interview could never happen.

As soon as i found out about this second installment i couldn't wait to get into it. After listening to book one, i couldn't wait to dive into this audiobook! I started listening to it as soon as i could. I got pulled right back into the Master of Trickery world. I really enjoyed this listen so very much! My audiobook loving heart was so happy to listen to both Will M Watt and Felicity Foster once again! These two and their narration once again had me hooked and glued to my earbuds. Will and Felicity were so fantastic with their narration. Getting to experience these two narrating and bringing Olin and Gil life again in such awesome ways was so great. Gil and Olin's journey continues! I've been on the edge of my seat and was so glad to get back into this world with these characters. I wasn't sure how everything was going to play out this time around and i really liked how that got me into this audiobook even more. This story and it's characters had me feeling such a range of emotions throughout! I could picture it all clearly. With The Living Canvas, Ms.Winters has created such a good and dark continuation i didn't want to stop listening to! I was so glad that i finally got to jump back into the Master of Trickery world. If you haven't listened to Will M Watt's and Felicity Foster's narration, you so NEED to! This journey and their voices are not to be missed! There are triggers and this is a dark listen.

The perfect ending to a tumulous yet enduring connection. Pepper has a way of writing stories that are not only dark and painful but beautiful and full of hope. Dark fairytale perfection. Olin and Gil have known each other since they were children and Gill's unexplained disappearance many years ago still haunts Olin, knowing he was the only man she ever felt truly connected with. Now that he's back, she has been sucked into the dark secrets he has been trying to hide all of these years and can't seem to find the strength to walk away. Now it's too late.... Another strong, unbreakable couple that has gone through hell from Pepper, and I hung on and loved every word.

“Just remember, nothing lasts forever. Good, bad, terrible—it all passes in the end.” Today I sobbed at my desk while muttering owls, otters, and Olive Oil. Now my boss thinks I’m weirder than he already did. But who cares! This duet was epic! The Living Canvas picks up right where The Body Painter left off. If you thought the cliffhanger was wild, just wait until you see what happens next! It’s hard to write a review for this without giving spoilers. Let me just say, you think you know but you have no idea. The shock factors and twists in this audiobook are intense. In most books, it’s the characters who go through angsty emotions, but with this story it’s the reader. I couldn’t catch my breath! I raged, I cried, I begged, I prayed, and then I cried some more. I don’t know how Pepper Winter’s comes up with these intense, magical, and epic stories, but I hope she never stops. She writes the most unique, twisted, dark, beautiful, emotional, and all-consuming stories I have ever read/listened to. “You’re a walking gift of pain, Gilbert Clark.” “And you’re the ultimate gift of redemption, Olin Moss.” Will M. Watt and Felicity Foster are a dream team for this audiobook [duet]. They were perfectly cast for their roles. This is such an intense, traumatic, tragic, and passionate story. They embraced it and embodied their characters. The timing, pitch, pace, characterizations, and tone were exemplary. Listen to this book versus reading it was heartbreaking. It tore me up. The duet narration made this listening experience so much more engrossing. This duet would not have been the same without them. They brought the story to life and enhanced the emotional experience. I highly recommend the audio version of The Body Painter! Thank you to Valentine PR for gifting me this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. “It’s always been you. It will always be you. I don’t know how to survive without you.” 5 Stars and I’m out of Kleenex NOLA504NERDS
