She is the wife of an army major, a mother of three, and has lived in Germany, Holland, Cyprus, Northern Ireland and throughout England for the past 30 years. She is a tireless fundraiser and events volunteer for charitable organisations, receiving a commendation in 2003 for her valuable contribution to the community.
