Phyllis Root, author of many books for children, exhibits a range many writers would envy. Her counting book Ten Sleepy Sheep is as serene and lulling as One Duck Stuck is rambunctious, and her down-home creation myth Big Momma Makes the World won the prestigious Boston Globe-Horn Book Award. She lives in Minneapolis.
Regan Dunnick has received numerous medals and awards for his illustrations, and some of his works are in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. He lives in Osprey, Florida.
