Piper

'Piper' is book four of the "Queen's Birds of Prey" and is the story of Piper, originally a phoenix, and Grant, a fae who had been a part of Queen Dante's kingdom before their King died in battle. As the blurb states, when Piper and Grant initially meet and shake hands, their combined magic sent both of them flying backward landing on their backsides. If you've been reading the series, then you know Piper is not one to easily trust. Watching these two grow into being a couple has been heartwarming. We are also taken on several missives along the way. Abe's birth mother is on the trail to find him. There are several discoveries there. Mercy and Joel become parents and there are several surprises with that. And then to top things off, Piper and Grant meet the King of the Fae, Lord Basil. Wait until you get there. You won't believe it!!! I love the way Kathi S. Barton tells her stories. There's always action, adventure, drama, angst, love, laughter, and the chemistry that comes with any kind of shifter. This storyline is no exception. It took me through a plethora of emotions. The last one wanting Remington's story. I can't wait.
