Sneaking around with #34

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a highly anticipated story and I loved every moment of it. It stars Warner Langley and Imogen Jacobs. We met both characters in the previous book, Faking It With #41 which starred Ford Jacobs. While this story can stand alone, I highly suggest you read Faking It before you read this book because Ford and Lena are a big part of this story as well. This was an absolutely awesome second chance at romance between two high school sweethearts and brothers ex best friend who is now his enemy. Things went very wrong 10 years before between Gen and Langley and it broke up Ford and Langley's bro romance as well as broke Imogen's heart. Now ten years later Langley has moved to Florida and is Ford's new teammate. The story opens when Imogen gets hired to work for the same team and it gives Langley his shot at trying to right the past and win her heart back. This was a fast paced story and one I could not put down. I loved every second of it and it had a bit of angyst in it as well. I loved Gen's character a lot and she is no push over and she really made Langley work hard for her heart and forgiveness. Langley was just as awesome as he tried to earn her forgiveness for the past.

Sneaking around with #34 is Walker Langley’s story and my goodness we are sent on a journey filled with turmoil, great banter, stubborn family and entertaining moments as well. Warner and teammate Ford were best friends in high school, since being traded, the animosity is thick and Warner is conflicted. Warner comes face to face with Imogen and what eventuates between these two is heartwarming but also rather heart wrenching as well. I just loved the support Warner has from his new teammates and their ever teasing banter is on point. Warner is this private, quiet man who really has got a heart of gold. I kept thinking about what happened with them in high school and when truths come to the surface, I really genuinely wanted everyone to be happy but also give them a big hug. This series is absolutely amazing and I am so chomping at the bit for more stories to come. A second chance romance at its finest and a definite Must Read!

I challenge you, the person reading my review, to pick up any Piper Rayne book and not fall completely in love with it. That being said, this one was no different. Warner and Imogen have so much history and baggage but at the end of the day their love was bigger than it all. This one hit very close to home for me as I was in the same position not long ago. I can't say what because that will be a major spoiler, but this book is so close to my own love story (IRL) that it had me in tears and made my heart bloom with love. I am so glad that they got their HEA just like I did mine. This might be my new favorite Piper Rayne book. Thank you, Piper Rayne for not just pulling at my heart strings, but playing a beautiful melody on them.
