His Horrible Histories will celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2018, and have sold over 25 million copies worldwide and been adapted as television series, theatre tours and museum exhibitions. 2018 will also be the 40th anniversary of his first children's book. Terry Deary was voted "Outstanding Children's Non-Fiction Author of the 20th Century" by Books for Keeps magazine.
