This is one for those who enjoy an emotional, tear-jerker of a book. We meet Holly in a new phase of her life; she is almost ready to sell the home she shared with her husband. There's a new man, Gabriel, and she works with her sister Ciara every day. Then she is approached by a club who appear to be based on the letters that Gerry left her when he died - and they want Holly to help them. Will it help her or is it a backward step? When I chose to read this novel , I thought I had read the previous one but I hadn't; so I came to this sequel with a fresh pair of eyes. I don't generally select novels about early emotional deaths - I've been too close to a number of them in real life. However, I expected this one to be all about moving on and it was, to a certain extent, but there were overwhelmingly sad elements. Holly's husband died far too early in life; brain cancer took him from her but Gerry left her notes to get her through the first year, each one signed 'PS, I Love You'. She survived, and has moved on with her life - let's be honest here: she has no real alternative. However bad it seems at the time, we all get through grief although in varying degrees. This second novel moves on to include the stories of people who are terminally ill and I struggled with that. I'm sure, that for others, this will be right up their street. There is no doubt it's a well-written, skilfully crafted story but, for me, it was just too emotional. Acknowledging the author's talent, I'm happy to settle on four stars.

Holly lost her husband to cancer, while still alive her wrote several letters to her from beyond the grave. Holly's sister, invited her to talk about the letters and how the impacted her. This catches the attention of a few people, who then form the 'P.S I Love You'. Which consists of a few terminally ill people. They reach out to Holly for her help to proceed with this idea. Holly helps them with different ideas to leave loved ones messages, including videos and poems as well as letters. What a journey!! I love the idea of the p,s I love you club, its a beautiful idea. This sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions. From just a few chapters in i had to get the tissues out. It truly is beautiful and painfully heartbreaking at the same time Highly recommend, it really is a must read!
