The overall story was too full of the same old Predator and Alien tropes that we have experienced already. Not sure why we cant have books that evolve the story of the Predator.

I'm a massive fan of anything with Aliens or predators, and this way beats the crap out of the AVP films. At first I was a little apprehensive of the amount of information coming forward about the 'yautja' I've always liked the mystery behind them, but it works while still leaving them "unknowable" I'm definitely getting the next 2 books. If they follow on as well as this one has started they're going to be a treat :)
