Una mañana al despertar, el hombrecito amanece con la panza vacía. Corre a visitar al panadero: “Panadero, por favor, dame pan, ¡porque tengo hambre!”. Pero el pan no se regala, se vende. El hombrecito entonces comprende que las cosas que uno quiere hay que buscarlas y trabajar por ellas y así lo hace.

One morning at dawn the little man woke up with an empty stomach. He ran to the bakery: "baker, I am hungry so please give me some bread!" But bread is not given free, one must buy it. Then the little man understands that the things which one desires have to be sought and worked for. So that's what he does.
