First of all, this book is the fastest gws book I have read in forever. I can't even say which one because I could not put this book down. I would have been done even sooner had I not had work or kids and a household to take care of. This has definitely turned into one of my favorite books out of the series with references to past books, which was also one of my favorite books in the series. Secondly, quinn definitely knows how to keep us on the edge of our seat with baited breaths and wanting more. With tissues in hand and hot chocolate next to us. Thirdly, this book is about bonds between pack mates and mated pairs that no matter what, they are there for you. Yeah, actions may have some pretty severe consequences. Some may even blow your socks off and have you grab some tissues to hold back the tears. Communication is hard being a new mated pair, leaving a lack thereof. which, in the long run, leads to said consequences. We got to meet new people and see some ol

I had the privilege of being selected as an ARC reader for this book and WOW! Let me say... Tattered bonds....that is the perfect name for this book because it left me tattered, shredded, and raw. The emotions this book took me through and the messages Quinn packed into this book are so powerful that it took me reading it 2 times and then 2 days of processing it all to deliver this review! Quinn brings together the Grey Wolves and the Gypsy Healers series in this 21st book of the Grey Wolves series. We see all our favorite characters from both and meet some new ones. The mate bonds and pack bonds are tested in a way that leaves us wondering what will become of our beloved pack? We see evil do what it does best - manipulate choices, feed lies, and tear unmercifully at bonds. We see good come up against overwhelming odds and stand firm for pack. We see hurt, pain, loss, and grief, but we also see forgiveness, faith, unconditional love, and hope. Grief has many faces. It overwhelms us and clouds our judgment. It can affect or remove all logic and rationale from our decision-making process. This book shows how grief can cause a person to make selfish choices and that every choice we make has a ripple effect. No matter how many times you tell yourself, it is my choice and only affects me, there are consequences that are far-reaching and affect more people than you know. Quinn shows us the importance of communication and the effects of a breakdown of communication. It shows us the consequences of self-isolation and the importance of a strong support system. It also shows us unconditional love and the importance of showing up even when we are pushed away because that is when they need us the most. While reading, there were so many times I wanted to reach through the tablet, grab the characters by the shoulders, shake some sense into them, and yell, "Why are you doing this?" But in the end, the message Quinn is sharing is one that all of us need to hear, and she has given us what we need beautifully. The cliff we are hanging off at the end of this book has us holding to hope, and hope is what keeps us afloat until book 22. Quinn, please, we need book 22! Girl, you knocked this one out of the park.

This was an ARC read for me. Needless to say, I LOVED Tattered Bonds. The rollercoaster Quinn takes us all on in this book made my stomach hurt, in the best way. I was anxious to read faster and faster just to know what happened but the closer I got to the end, the more I tried to slow down. The last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat (I was laying down but you get it). Lizzy and Finn are a great addition to the pack, Maxim and Alice as well. When Celise does what she does (trying not to give spoilers!) I never saw that coming. The gasp I gasped! I experienced a wide range of conflicting feelings during this read. Anger, anxiety, laughter, righteousness, excitement and heartbreak. Like I said....Rollercoaster. I'm so ready for the next book!
