The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie is women’s fiction novel with a touch of magic. I found it to be a slow starter. It was not until the last third of the book that I became interested. There were inconsistencies in the book. The story is told in a unique way. We have present day, the lemon drop days, and the past which shows what happened between Lolly and Rory. It is a confusing format. The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie is a story about ill-chosen choices, lemon drop days, & an unfamiliar future.

First off thank you so much Berkley Penguin Random House for sending me an uncorrected proof copy! I loved this so much! It was a very cute fun summer read! It was exactly what I needed to not go into a reading slump after a rough reading month so far! I can definitely see it being very popular and it would be a cool movie.
About the author
Rachel Linden is a novelist and international aid worker whose adventures in over fifty countries around the world provide excellent grist for her writing. She is the author of Ascension of Larks, Becoming the Talbot Sisters, and The Enlightenment of Bees. Currently Rachel lives with her family on a sweet little island in the Pacific Northwest where she enjoys creating stories about hope, courage and connection with a hint of romance and a touch of whimsy.
