About this ebook

Always You is the second book in the brand new Lilac Bay series!

For as long as she can remember, Riley James has wanted to work in television. And more often than not, Riley gets what she wants. There’s a reason, after all, that she’s considered the most competitive person on Lilac Bay Island. Riley likes to win.

So when Lilac Bay is chosen to participate in a reality TV show, it’s only natural that Riley leads the charge to bring home a victory for their small town. And who better to help her than her best friend, Andrew?

As the competition kicks into gear, the stakes for Riley and Andrew get higher. The line between reality and the game isn’t so easy to find. This time the two old friends are playing for keeps. And love might be the ultimate prize.

This is the second book in the Lilac Bay series by Rachel. I must admit I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t about the protagonist from the first book, Iris’ cousin Posey. Her story seems intriguing and is cloaked in mystery, so I will carry on looking forward to that. Anyway, this story is about Riley, who works at the mayor's office, trying to improve the town. She seizes an opportunity to promote the town via a reality TV programme, and the story that follows is both lovely and uplifting. It took a while for the story to get going but when it does it is worth the wait! This can be read as a stand alone book, you don’t have to have read the first book in the series, but if you have it is really nice to visit Lilac Bay again, as it sounds like a very enchanting island!

Always You is the second in the Lilac Bay series. In this book we are introduced to Riley (our strong female lead) and Andrew (her childhood and now adult best friend). Even though this is part of a series, it is not necessary to read the first book to read this one (though, you should!) The story takes us again to the picturesque Lilac Bay of which Riley is the tourism manager for. She has the opportunity to introduce the rest of the US to the beauty that is Lilac Bay by the way of a new reality tv show hosted by her (fictional) idol, Heather Dale. The story introduces us to some new characters and we get to know Riley's family, which like most, has it's fair share of difficulties. Along the way, will she find love and happiness? And will Lilac Bay win 'Best Small Town'? Another great book by Rachel and I highly recommend this (and all her other series as well!)

I was so excited to receive an ARC of this book from the author. I always love Rachel Schurig's books and this one was no different. I really enjoyed Riley & Andrew, but I also getting to know more characters from Lilac Bay. I highly recommend this book and can't wait for the next book in the series!
