About the author

Rachel P. Winograd, MA, is a graduate student in clinical psychologyat the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO, where she studiesthe acute effects of alcohol intoxication on behavior andemotion. She received a National Research Service Award fromthe National Institutes of Health to conduct her dissertation workinvestigating "drunk personality" and geospatial characteristicsof college students' recent drinking episodes. She is part of aprogram development group creating an evidence-based interventionfor heavy drinking college students and has experienceworking with a range of individuals experiencing alcohol andother substancerelated problems. She is a member of the ResearchSociety on Alcoholism and the American Psychological Association.
