About this ebook

The #1 New York Times best-selling series

To find a cure for Miss Peregrine, their beloved headmistress, Jacob Portman and his peculiar friends journey through a time loop to London, 1940—the peculiar capital of the world

Having escaped Miss Peregrine’s island by the skin of their teeth, Jacob and the rest of the peculiar children are fleeing the malevolent  wights following them. Miss Peregrine is the only one who can help, but as she is trapped in bird form, the children must take a time loop to World War II London in search of a cure.

Along the way, the children encounter new allies and a menagerie of peculiar animals, but hideous surprises and betrayals lurk around every corner. And before Jacob can deliver the peculiar children to safety, he must make an important decision about his love for Emma Bloom.

Complete with dozens of newly discovered (and thoroughly mesmerizing) vintage photographs, the second chapter of the beloved Peculiar Children series will enchant readers of all ages.

My only complaints are that at times all of the characters are rather dislikeable and irritating, all at once. Made me grit my teeth a bit, but the story really is so original that I kept on...it is also a little long on the hero/angst/insecurity inner monologue, but as the hero is a teenager,I guess that is to b expected..l am looking forward to finding out how things develop as I have no idea at present, which is a huge compliment to the author, as I am an old lady well into her fourth decade of devouring all books peculiar.

The second addition to Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children was executed fantastically. The character development was done smoothly. The events they faced were made with vivid descriptions and with realistic(to this world's universe) problem solving. The ending was sudden with the plot twist that would make the reader wanting more.

The second book in the peculiar series is so enthralling that I could hardly put it down without finding myself in a form of withdrawal. I am anxious to see what new adventures young Jacob finds himself in to save the people, and their Ymbryne that he's grown deeply fond of. This was a truly wonderful and exciting new adventure in the Peculiar series. Thank you Ransom Riggs for creating such a gripping and whimsical tale that everyone who reads it is sure to enjoy.
