Yes, I am dancing in my boots because we are back at Whiskey River and at the Boots & Bangles bash again. I knew as soon as I opened the book and started reading I knew we were in for a great read and I was correct. I am so happy that our author Eve Gandy has chosen to bring her readers back to Devil's Rock. We get to say hi to a few folks we know from past books and of course keep to know in depth those handsome and sexy men who are running the airport. I had a feeling there was going to be more to Travis Sullivan than a good looking face and a well built body and oh yes we find that out in this book. All his secrets and inter self comes out to shine. We get to now Dr Toni as well. No i will not tell you much more about the book other than I do love how their storylines were written from past to present. The author did it in such a believable way. I can't wait to read more in this series and watch the other guys as they fall in love.

I loved reading the Rebel Pilot, Texas Doctor by Eve Gaddy, book one in her Devil’s Rock at Whiskey River series, a delightful friends to lovers story. Tobi and Travis returned to Whiskey River after having working elsewhere, Tobi at a hospital in Dallas and Travis flying planes in Austin after a career-ending baseball injury. These two needed to learn to let go of their pasts, hurts, fears, and mistrust, in order to open themselves up to being loved and able to love. Travis was such an understanding guy, knowing Tobi better than herself. Tobi struggled opening up herself to others and making new friends. Life was easy for her with Travis in it but she still had fears to conquer before understanding that life is short and one needs to spend their time alive wisely and with those you love. This was a fun book to read and easy to visualize the story as it occurred. I totally loved these characters and didn’t want to put this book down. Ms. Gaddy did a fantastic job creating her characters, making them realistic, keeping the story interesting, making me forget the world around me and not letting me go until I turned the last page, wanting more. I highly recommend this book to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Excellent read! Great writing and characters with a nice storyline set in a wonderful small town. This is a friends to lovers story and it will definitely leave you smiling. Tobi Robinson returns to Whiskey River a changed woman. No longer is she the rough tomboy of her youth. Nobody seems to recognize her except her childhood crush Travis Sullivan. Travis is no longer that boy of her memories, he's a grown man and a fine one at that. They are both very different from those high school days and the people they are now have a strong attraction to each other. Events from their past may get in their way but if they can find a way beyond them they may just find their happily ever after. I recommend this one.
