This is book 5 in the Frontier Bachelors series. I have not read any of the previous books and had no trouble keeping up with this one, so I will say it is a stand alone book. However if the first four are as good as this one I now need to go back and read them all. I know there is history with this town and the Wallin family. Simon Wallin is a cynical, hardworking, opinionated man. He is not looking for romance, he just wants what is best for his family. When the somewhat corky Nora Underhill hatches a plan that will help him and his family he is not sure what to think. Their relationship takes some twist, turns and misunderstandings but it is fun to watch them figure it all out. Nora feels Simon is her only hope of standing up to her brother. Will he accept her proposal and if so will everything work out as she has planned. Nora has a heart of gold but finds herself in a tight situation. The entire Wallin family is fun, loving and has personalities all their own. I love how they stick together and stick their nose into each others business.
