Come for the isekai how to survive as a villainess plot line, stay for the political thriller. Definitely a unique series that is a good mix of traditional isekai tropes and political intrigue. It also manages to drop the otome sekai elements quite quickly. Honestly, if the author decided to not make this into an otome sekai, she could have easily picked up a broader Western readership as a Fantasy political thriller. Job well done nonetheless.

At first, I don't have many expectations on this work. I have seen many this kind of story, some really moved me, some just ordinary. Yet, my curiosity get the best of me, so I started with readings it as a sample to check. I won't take long to get me hooked and I'm outright buying it. Well, I also happened to like this kind of genre where (not a really) villainess get a revenge. The different between the good and mediocre work is either it's a petty revenge or justified and meaningful revenge that sweet and not destroying yourself or around you. This novel, added with aristocrats politics and governmental works create something that interesting and enriching. Of course I also have read another novel that puts more meticulous efforts into world building, culture, and so on so much so that it likes I become integral to its society, yet this novel little bit lack on that department but it is properly put to support the story. Great works!!!

The plot at first seemed generic, but, after reading it, it truly was anything but. the twists and turns and character development and world building was astonishing. it was a refreshing and fun experience.
