The Cleaner

“Everyone assumes the crime lord’s daughter is a pampered princess living a charmed life.” So, The Cleaner is another fantastic addition to Renee’s Chicago Bratva series. I’ve been a vocal fan of this series since day one. We actually met Adrian way back then. He was new and that’s when we first learned about what happened to his sister, Nadia. (He was the one Ravil’s was with when they went to meet Adrian’s lawyer who turned out to be Lucy, who was pregnant with Ravil’s baby, remember?) I wondered back then if he’d rise in Ravil’s family and he certainly has. Part of the fun in this series is the way we constantly get to see how our couples from earlier books are doing. Adrian and Kat are adorable together. Adrian might be the big bad Bratva cleaner but he definitely found himself Kat’s captive, even though she was supposedly his hostage. I probably laughed more in this book than any prior book in the series. Don’t think I’m saying it’s a RomCom. No way on earth. This is a violent Bratva/sexy BDSM romance just like the rest of the series. But Adrian is just too sweet and adorable! The Player is next and I’m so happy Nadia is going to find love. She truly deserves it after everything she’s been through. And Flynn is a rockstar! I’m thrilled! Rockstar romances are my very favorite genre. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think this will be Renee’s first one, so yay! Even though it’s number seven in the series it’s written with enough background you can read it as a stand alone although I think they are so much better when read in order. That’s actually why it took me so long to finish this ARC Renee sent me. I couldn’t resist going back and re-reading everything that came before including books 1-6 as well as the two Black Light Roulette novellas that are also part of the series. But as I said, you don’t have to. You’ll love Adrian and Kat either way.

This is another excellent entry for this terrific series. I truly enjoyed Adrian and Kat's story. Their chemistry was incendiary but underneath that was a fine layer of sweetness. While their relationship gets off to a very complicated start, it doesn't take long before it is clear that these two were totally meant to be and made for each other. Emotions and heart are blended with drama, action, tension, danger and heat to create a potent mixture that reads smoothly and was too seductive to resist. I've already got "grabby hands" for book 8!! Lol This is my candid review that I am posting of my own accord.

Loved reading the entertaining and engrossing romance story. Adrian wants revenge against the man responsible what happened to his sister and puts his plan into action: kidnap the crime lord's daughter, Kateryna (Kat), and make him pay for what he's done. Adrian and Kat's chemistry is explosive and passionate. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, riveting storyline, and a must read love story.
