This was originally published under the author M. D. Pentacles as Hunting the Renegade Omega, but has been reworked considerably with added plot. This is not your standard omegaverse setup. Several generations ago the Alpha race, the Anhur, enslaved the omega race, the Hathorians, and breeding between the races results in docile but sterile beta soldiers. Most of the population lives behind high walls to protect against the the trax virus, which when contracted causes disfiguring mutations. We follow Renegade, a harem slave to the King, as she is thrown out of the harem, and escapes to the outside. Here she must navigate an unfamiliar world and avoid all ferals as her body return to her natural cycle. And it doesn’t get easier when her heat returns. It is truly an amazing read. The rework only made it better and I love the change in omegaverse dynamic. Myra Danvers is incredible at making a story brutal and still so captivating, that you cannot let it go.
