We purchased this book after hearing an NPR interview featuring the authors and their unique perspective on how to make vegan food taste good. We've been incorporating these recipes into our menu for a few weeks now, and I've never been disappointed. Recipes are mostly kid friendly, but I've had to reduce the hot spices so they're easier for the kids to eat. Veggies come alive with the seasoning mixes and sauce blends, and we're always left completely satiated and excited to try the next vegan dish. You don't miss meat with veggies prepared like this! I highly suggest picking up this book and trying the recipes yourself. SO YUMMY! ...Oh, and I'm obsessed with socca! I had no idea this quick-prep flatbread could be so versatile and delicious. I'm so happy to be introduced to foods that I've never had before and fill a void in my diet that I didn't know I had. :)
